Feature and Follow #7

"The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Featured Blogger and this way it allows them to show everyone more new blogs!"

This weeks question: "How important is good writing to you? In an ideal world, a book would be beautifully written and have great character development and a plot. But in the real world, which do you prefer: (1) Great characters and plot with lousy writing or (2) Middling character development and plot but gorgeous writing."

To be honest, I would prefer great characters and plot, but not great writing. For me, for a book to make an impact, it has to have amazing characters. If a book has a well thought out plot and characters, and it entices me, then I instantly fall in love with it!

What are your responses to this question? Comment below!

  1. I picked great characters/plot over good writing too! The plot just needs to be good enough to make overlook the not-so-good writing. Good writing and a good plot would be even better though!

    1. Thanks for commenting! I stopped by your blog and followed. :)

  2. We share the same thought. The only one who could write a boring character (or characters) with great plot and amazing writing would be Neil Gaiman.

Well, let me suggest something to you. You seem like a new blogger (and so am I). Make a bloglovin account. It will surely increase your readership even with only a few members.
