TITLE:  Infixion
AUTHOR:  K E Coles
PUBLISHER:   White Glove
RATING:  5/5

‘You miss it, don’t you?’ he said. ‘The excitement - the stuff that gets your blood jumping.’ ‘The stuff that gets you dead,’ I said. Pearl and Spicer have one thing in common. Both have lost loved ones to violent religious sect, Mesmeris. While Pearl moves away to escape her past, Spicer decides to do the opposite. He infiltrates the cult, going deep undercover into their shadowy world of violence, coercion and sacrilegious ceremonies. When the cult relocates to London, Pearl discovers that leaving your past behind is not as easy as she thought.

"Infixion," did not disappoint me, after the brilliant first book. As readers, we still get to follow Pearl's story, as she is a much loved character in the series. We also follow Spicer, (a new character)- who has been effected by Mesmeris, and wants revenge on them. He goes undercover in a very unexpected way, as he decided to become one of the, "Mesmeris," people- going against everything he disagrees with.

As Pearl and Spicer's lives collide, they both don't realise- that you can't run away from Mesmeris...

We also get to find more about Art, who was one of the main members of Mesmeris in the previous book. Coles manages to keep the mystery and the deep dark secrets running in this book, and she even increases the pace of the fantastic plot. This book was even more heart wrenching than the first- I love how in depth  Coles goes into every character's personality. Personally, I would put this series of books in my top five in a heartbeat. Often- an author's second book in a series dosen't live up to the first. But, Coles keeps, "Infixion," consistent, thrilling and action packed.

I can firmly say that this book kept me guessing, and it made me feel like my life wouldn't be complete if I didn't carry on reading; only some very talented authors can make me do that. I devoured the last sentence in the book- with my mouth wide open in shock. "Infixion," felt so real- I felt like I was running along with Pearl and Spicer as I was reading. Overall. I rate this book 5/5 hoots, as it's one I want to shout about on the  rooftops! If you haven't already, you can read my review for the first book, "Mesmeris," here.
